Frequently Asked Questions
Who should complete the kit?
Parents, guardians, or trusted adults along with the child — make it a bonding activity.
At what age should I complete the kit with my child?
Fingerprints are unique from birth, making early collection incredibly valuable! While you can start the kit at any age, completing it together during the toddler to early grade school years creates the perfect opportunity for a meaningful bonding experience.
What happens after I complete the kit?
You store the completed kit at home in a safe but easily accessible place. It is not submitted to us or any government agency, but kept readily available by the parent if government submission does become necessary.
Is my child’s information stored or shared with anyone?
No — all information stays with the family. Nothing is collected or stored by the nonprofit.
How are donated kits distributed?
Through partnerships with schools, shelters, family service organizations, and community events.
